Lobster Pot & Boat House Bar opiniones
51 September is the start of Bermudian Lobster season (through to March). So, when we land in Dockyards, we had to take the ferry to Hamilton to go to the Lobster Pot.
We could have had a half of a lobster apiece. But, we're in Bermuda and it's spiny lobster season. So, we each had a whole lobster. These things are monsters, over 2 pounds of delicious firm meat - they're almost all tail.so,who needs claws?
The staff is friendly, helpful, and pleasant.
Delightful welcome, and nice freshly prepared food.
Sadly let down by tired building and poorly trained staff.
The conch chowder tasted like gumbo, really good. The wahoo goujons were so greasy and dry and overcooked I couldn’t eat it. Hot tartar doesn’t help that. The hopn John with my wife’s fish was super dry and tasted like la Choy soy sauce (caramel coloring). Really hard to enjoy the meal. Would not recommend
Great location in Hamilton. You will always get amazing local catch. The staff are friendly and always available to help.
Stopped by on a rainy Wednesday afternoon for lunch. We had the most impeccable food and even better service. Ask for Kai, his quick wit, knowledge and attentiveness made our experience one to remember.
Their lobster is unique and tasty. The atmosphere is more like a bar mixed with restaurant. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with the host. Food came quick and atmosphere is very relaxing.
The atmosphere is quite original but food is average. Lobster was not memorable and it had meatloaf inside which was not stated in the menu. I ordered a Caprese salad quite small and tasteless. Kids menu were just okay. Service was nice.
Best service and Seafood anywhere in Bermuda.
I personally enjoy the Conch Chowder and the Onion Soup is the best.
Whether local or a visitor, you must experience the Lobster Pot.
Food was good. Would have been 4 stars but ordered sodas which they asked if we wanted refills. Would have been OK, but they didn't say they charged per drink. $60 later we found out on the bill. They could have, and should have given us a heads-up. Just shabby.
Only place for the local Bermudian lobster! Wholesome comfort food, favourite family diner!
The food was good. Standard seafood restaurant decor and menu. I felt the while time like i had been transported to the 90’s.
Menu was not very diverse as a matter of fact I found it quite unappealing to my palate. To top that off it was a pricey menu too.
Catch of the day is the way to go; staff are fantastic, and know the menu - follow their recommendations!
Nice place to dine for seafood varieties. There is indoor bar area, and two additional indoor sections to dine & outdoor dining options overlooking the street. No water views outside. Wheelchair Accessible ramp for ease of information.
Highly recommended by our taxi drivers. It was good but incredibly expensive. I suppose most things are on this island.
Portion sizes were a bit small but the staff was very friendly. Desserts were the best part of the meal.
The services I received during my visit was a little disappointing. The gentleman that served us didn't do a good job checking on us. I needed a bowl to share my delicious salad. It was so good I wanted to share it for other folk to order next visit. I was told by a server she was busy taking an order. Wow there was a bus girl at same table pouring water. She was too busy to help me also. After waiting for someone else to finally pass close to my table I waved for help since my server was never visible. Then after eating my salad my server took my knife and I was left without a knife to eat my main course. It took me several minutes to finally get the bus girl to bring me a knife while my meal is getting colder for the long wait for a knife which caused the ordered wahoo to taste a little over cooked as it got closer to a warm to cold temperature. Services was below sub standard. When my meal was served I didn't know the knife taken away wasn't going to be replaced with a clean one. To be told I'm busy taking an order was the biggest turn off. Of course you are busy the time you took to rudely speak that you could have used same time to find out what I Needed. This is nothing close to satisfactory customer service. I always visit this restaurant instead I'm telling folk how much I was poorly treated and they have gone down in customer services. He stood behind me to tell us their specials I couldn't hear him and had to turn halfway round to see and hear him. I asked him to come closer to middle of table and speak louder as the dining area was already a little loud with folk celebrating birthdays. Told the hotel concierge desk I do not want to book dinner with them again My experience was very very disappointing and my meal wasn't far off from mediocre. I felt my server wasn't to interested in delivering service Step up on your customer services no excuses failure to paying attention to detail doesn't help when it was very challenging to find and prompt any server visible since assigned server never did his best job as a waiter.
My son, who's 9 and loves seafood, found this place as we were hungry and searching for something filling to eat in Hamilton. This place definately stood out and was delicious. The calamari was amazing as were the rich shrimp, scallops, etc. It was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. We find everything in Bermuda to be pricey. That's saying a lot being that we reside in NY. My family and I left full and satisfied. My son requested calamari the next day. Highly recommended!
I had my first lobster Thermador her; I was blown away. The next time, around lunchtime, I had the tuna melt, I had the same experience. The chef cooks with love, and the staffs are excellent.
The staff here are very friendly. We never had to wave anyone down for anything as staff would always be nearby, willing to assist and checking on us. It is for this reason that I think Lobster Pot deserves 4stars because I unfortunately found the food to be pretty disappointing— not the freshest tasting seafood and the space itself is a little kitschy.
