Henry VIII Restaurant, Sushi Bar & Pub

Food was overpriced and Service was HORRIBLE. THE WORST ever. I have been in some bad places. This place is by far the worst. The food took way too long. Cold and disappointing We asked for the manager to get a cab. He told us to go out on the side of the street and flag one ourselves

Very expensive for extremely small portions. The soups were very spicy, they should mention it on the menu or at least let people know. Served us warm beer.
The service was very good, that's the only good thing.

Restaurant did not honour our reservation. VERY casual. We dined outside on cheap patio furniture - no tablecloths, no flowers, no candles - no atmosphere. One sole waiter did his best to keep up with everyone's orders outside. At his recommendation we both ordered the special - Wahoo fish. The sides were perfect and nicely presented however the $42 piece of fish was overcooked, dry and inedible. 90% left on plate. Not worth the drive from Hamilton

Nicely located perched on the hill overlooking Princess Bay beach. Large restaurant / bar with a wide range of British ales / beers etc. Under staffed, lacks atmosphere and overpriced. Eg. Can of Magner’s for $11 + mandatory inclusive tip of $2.

Sushi was great. I ordered my burger well done and came back medium was disappointing. Also, someone I was with asked for no ice in their drink, and they missed it. Could have been a better experience.

Terrific views from the patio and front room are the centerpiece of this pub/restaurant.

The house sauce on the shrimp cocktail is a great twist on this appetizer, and the tuna crudo appetizer is also a great option. We enjoyed the pan fried snapper and catch of the day. Both were fresh and well prepared.

Service is attentive and friendly. The ambiance is casual, with much of the dining area in need of a facelift.

I had Sushi and my husband had the hind. Perfection. Sticky toffee pudding not so much. Please please use a proper recipe for the famous dessert. What I got was very greasy pound cake with a few scattered dates that had settled on the bottom. Not sticky toffee pudding by any stretch of the imagination. Disappointing!

Went to brunch as I hadn't been in years. We were greeted by friendly staff and sat near a window with a lovely view. Everything was ok, most cold offerings including the sushi were good. Hot food was mediocre. The surprise was the lobster salad. Delicious! Pumpkin-quinoa and beet salads also delicious. The joints of meat and the chicken were woefully under seasoned. I didn't bother with the fish. Most desserts were good. I'd go again because it's pretty inexpensive but I would stick to cold plates.

Food was ok, but not worth the price. The waiters come off as extremely snobby and provide poor service. The best experience there was sushi and the sushi chefs actually seemed like they wanted to be there.

Times have changed.

The staff is on Bermuda time. Had to get my own water for my table. Two person at the bar and one table of five in the dining room, 1500 hours.
Food was a bit on the salty side. Hence the need for refreshments or water.
They are working on old traditional fame and standards.

We had a large team dinner here. The food was Ok and the service was great considering the size of our group.

A bit out of the way from Horshoe Beach but probably one of the better options around the area with a good view too. They were not selling curry or lobster when I went. Fish and chips and the grilled salmon were very good. Rolls were okay.

Great location and views. Food is hit and miss. First time in September was awesome. October just okay. Burger just okay but fish and chips fresh and good. Steak and lobster great. Service is lay back and a little slow but good.

Had the calamari which is excellent, fish and chips very good too. The patio could use a little TLC but generally it is a nice atmosphere with a great view, good service, and good food. Will return.

Good food but slow service, maybe just a bad night but after waiting over half an hour for a single dessert gave up waiting, left without it. All the staff were very pleasant.

Attended a birthday dinner on a Sunday evening. Service was pleasant, sushi was good, prices were decent. It is odd how, at a table of mixed groups, we weren't asked about separate checks. That is common elsewhere and avoids the awkward "who had what? " at the end of the evening when one check came for the table.

Nice outdoor patio to sit and have drinks on a warm day. A stunning view of the South shore. A great choice of cocktails. I will definitely go again.

Really nice staff and awesome location. The food is pretty good (not amazing) and unfortunately the beer tended to be a flat most of the time. However if you like swizzles (I do!), then that is a worthy alternative.

Strange (for me) but apparently common for Bermuda, a mashup between an English pub and a sushi bar

We went for our anniversary dinner here due to high praises from the locals. Turns out there are many places better than this one. Nothing fancy and the food was ok.
